What’s the difference between heat transfer vinyl and PVC heat transfer vinyl?
After many years continuous research and development, Qingyi company has set up and developed Q1-Q9 series of nine heat transfer vinyl, in which customers often consult what’s the difference between heat transfer vinyl and PVC heat transfer vinyl? Following let’s explain to everyone.
1, Materials are different.
TPU (Q1 series) heat transfer vinyl using eco-friendly polyurethane material.
PVC (Q6-2 series) heat transfer vinyl using eco-friendly PVC and hot melt adhesive through coating then compound.
2,Different production processes.
TPU (Q1 series) heat transfer vinyl use coating process produced.
PVC (Q6-2 series) heat transfer vinyl produced using composite process.
3,Different product characteristics.
TPU (Q1 series) heat transfer vinyl: with a soft touch, stretch, high cover, through high temperature heat press don’t deformation.
PVC (Q6-2 series) heat transfer vinyl: a more full feel, resistant to stretching, high cover, matte surface.
4,Different thickness.
TPU (Q1 series) heat transfer vinyl effective thickness: 110-130UM.
PVC (Q6-2 series) heat transfer vinyl effective thickness: 120-140UM.
5,Operation method.
TPU (Q1 series) heat transfer vinyl: use cold knife, hot knife both is ok. If you use a release TPU heat transfer vinyl, then cut with a cutting plotter, if you use adhesive TPU heat transfer vinyl can be cutted with cutting plotter / laser / marking machine.
PVC (Q6-2 series) heat transfer vinyl: cold knife is better than hot knife, you can use cutting plotter / laser / marking machine.
6,Different storage methods.
TPU (Q1 series) heat transfer vinyl: stable surface activity, storage need to avoid light, avoid high temperature, moisture, in the transportation is prohibited collision.
PVC (Q6-2 series) heat transfer vinyl: surface activity changes with the environment changes, dark, avoid high temperature, moisture and other conditions strict than TPU heat transfer vinyl. TPU heat transfer vinyl product performance can be maintained intact at minus 20 degrees, but PVC heat transfer vinyl is not recommended storage at minus 20 degrees.
